Introduction 'Landscapes and Lives'
Catalogue by Gary Corbett Broken Hill City Art Gallery
"Anna Glynn's journey is one that we all take. Each of us takes a little of our past with us. All of us survive, some better that others, with our environment. We can not deny who we are: it takes effort to discover why we are.
Our histories are landscapes of our mind. Anna's journey began in 1993 and by 1995 - 1997 she was helping others on their own voyage of discovery through a series of free workshops throughout New South Wales and Northern Victoria. Her encouragement and assistance has enabled many people to create visual and potent images of their own history.
Stories are important and sometimes we forget that for most of the human experience it was told rather than visually presented.
Landscapes and Lives is a wonderful example of a shared vision and experience. A life spent searching for the flame will always flicker."
